1. The German federal government announced its fiscal budget plan for 2025 on the 17th, and the supplementary budget for 2024 and a growth plan have also been approved by the cabinet. According to the plan, Germany's 2025 draft budget stipulates an expenditure of 480.6 billion euros. With the supplementary budget, the budget size in 2024 will rise to 488.9 billion euros.

2. The Society for Worldwide Interbank Financial Telecommunication (Swift) released a monthly report and data statistics on the RMB on the 18th, showing that in June this year, in the global payment currency ranking based on amount statistics, the RMB remained the world's fourth most active currency, accounting for 4.61%. This is also the 8th consecutive month that the RMB's global payment ranking has remained fourth in the world.

3. The preliminary value of trade statistics for the first half of 2024 (January to June) announced by the Japanese Ministry of Finance on the 18th (based on customs clearance) showed that the trade balance of exports minus imports was a deficit of 3.2345 trillion yen (about 150.9 billion yuan).

7. FIA: A total of 45 nuclear fusion whole-reactor companies participated in the survey worldwide. The cumulative financing scale of the fusion industry has reached US$7.1 billion, an increase of US$900 million year-on-year. The cumulative public funding investment is US$426 million, and the data for 2023 will be US$271 million. Among the 35 companies that responded to the survey, 89% are optimistic about achieving grid-connected power generation by the end of the 2030s, and more than 70% believe that it can be achieved before 2035.

8. Counterpoint: In the second quarter, global PC shipments increased by 3.1% year-on-year to 62.5 million units, marking the second consecutive quarter of year-on-year growth in PC market shipments. The growth was driven by a moderate replacement cycle and a relatively low base period, which highlights the continued recovery of the global PC market in 2024.

9. Canalys: In the second quarter, the Indian smartphone market increased slightly by 1%, with total shipments reaching 36.4 million units, affected by various factors such as the Indian general election, seasonal sluggish demand, and extreme weather in some regions. After six quarters, Xiaomi regained the top spot with 6.7 million units shipped and 18% market share.
